Still thinking those happy thoughts...

I've been having a lot of fun reading your entries into my giveaway.  I honestly don't know what I would pick if I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life.  My music tastes definitely depend on my mood or what I'm doing.  I'm not the biggest country fan, but Dan and I had a country song for "our song" at our wedding reception.  I'm a big Metallica and Pink Floyd fan as well as pretty much anything from Nirvana, Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins however I'm equally content listening to classical music.  If I had to pick just one song, I'd probably have a hard time choosing between Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya by Dropkick Murphy's, Out Here Grindin' by DJ Kahled, Nothing Else Matters by Metallica & SF Symphony, and Wish you Were Here by Pink Floyd... actually after listening to all of those again to get the links, I think I'd have to go with the Metallica one or Pink Floyd... of course I forgot about Viva la Vida from Cold Play...  hmm, I don't think I could ever choose just one song.  But you should.  Enter my giveaway if you haven't yet. :)

In other news, we're still living the sequestered sickies life.  In case you're wondering what that kind of life looks like, there's a lot of this going on:

I had hoped that this vacation would be nice and relaxing with lots of naps, but I didn't expect it to go quite the way it is, sure the kids are getting naps, but only because their poor little bodies are working so hard to fight off the nasty, nasty bug they are infested with.  And when they aren't napping, their attitude is either a notch above death or something that more resembles Jonny... angry/unhappy/miserable.
I thought Leona and Jonny were feeling better yesterday.  Leona even had the opportunity to go down to the pool with my mom...
but after a great day and night, she woke up again this morning feeling icky and has since spent the day sleeping and throwing up.  Unfortunately my mom is now sick too.  I've been thinking the happiest, healthiest, most positive thoughts I can muster.  Hopefully those thoughts (along with the excessive hand washing I've been doing) will be enough to ward off this nasty illness that has taken everyone else out of commission.  I sure hope so, otherwise this could most definitely go down as the worst vacation... EVER.
