Free Money!

I can't believe it has almost been an entire week since I blogged. The amazing thing is that the blogging world went on without me. I've missed out on so much... all kinds of giveaways, great race reports, running advice and general gossip... I'm kind of offended that when I took a week long break from the Internet you all just kept on with your life and didn't mourn my absence... ha ha.

Anyway, about that free money... Okay, it's not entirely free (a few hoops to jump through) and not entirely money (think of it more as a gift card) but it could be yours (and that's almost as good as free money, no?). So, here's the scoop:

The lovely people over at CSN have been kind enough to present me with a $40 gift card to give to (really bribe) one of my lucky readers. I would say they are "super fabulous" for doing so but it turns out they gave Marcia over at Running Off at the Mouth $60 to share and being the competitive person I am, I'm slightly jealous, so I'm going to stick with merely "lovely" as my adjective of choice. However, it bodes well for you, head over to her blog HERE and sign up to win $60 then come back here and opt in for another $40... think of all the fun you could have at CSN with $100!!! I don't know if you've heard yet, but CSN stores have over 200 sights and sell every possible thing you could imagine, except maybe the Dyson Air Multiplier... have you seen this thing?!. Seriously though, if you've got time to spend (or need to put off doing stuff around the house) head over to their main sight and take off from there.

Okay, enough blabbering... One of you will be lucky enough to win your very own $40 CSN stores gift card, all you have to do is one or more of the following:

(Please leave a separate comment for each thing you do... thanks!)

Mandatory:
Check out CSN and come back and let me know what you'd spend your loot on. (Since I don't get to get anything, I want to live vicariously through you.) +1

Optional:
Follow me! As in, officially, click on the follow me button at left. (already do? Let me know) +1
Let others know (facebook, blog link, twitter, Morse code... possibilities are endless) +1 each
My son turns 5 on the 29th, I need a good cake idea, have any? +1

So, that's it... basically free money! You have until midnight PST (that's 3am for all you East Coasters) on Friday, July 23rd to enter. Many will enter (hopefully) but only one will win (via some completely random method... most likely random.org). Best of luck to you... happy window shopping!

We had a beach themed party for my son one year. The cake had "sand" on it. The "sand" was made out of crushed graham crackers. We decorated with beach toys and handed out beach balls and toy buckets/shovels as party favors. The kids loved it!

I follow you and I would Definitely get a new TV stand - the one seen here : http://www.csnstores.com/4D-Concepts-71513-FDC1107.html - because my baby's going to be crawling soon, and I'm afraid our is too rickity and might fall over if he touches it! LOL

I just spent over an hour on the CSN website. How cool. I am not sure what I would buy. I think maybe a toy or a couple holiday frames or maybe a bag or maybe, this or this or this. It is fun to pretend.

A swimming pool cake! A white cake hollowed out with blue jello as the water. It's from Simple and Delicious magazine. I'll see if the recipe is online. My kids love it and it's not too hard to make. (Diving board included!)

Well, thanks for the time-waster...you could spend all day looking at all their stuff!! :P
I'm a sucker for the health and fitness category and think I need to buy a balance board.

I like Tricia's beach cake idea - I made one like that many years ago and it was very easy and yummy. We threw a karate party one year and I made the easiest cupcakes EVER - frost them white, then pipe on a simple black belt. Hiya!

I also have made the swimming pool cake last summer for my daughter's bday - tasteofhome.com. All the kids went crazy over it! I actually made cupcakes too because I didn't want to cut into it! It was so stinkin cute!

That online store has everything! I actually think I'd put it towards some new bedding. There were hundreds of duvets and comforters to choose from!

I dont know if he's into dinosaurs, but a friend of mine made a volcano cake with lava(frosting) coming out and palm trees lol it was AWESOME...then she put toy dinosaurs around the volcano..very cool :)

cake idea! My boyfriends favorite cake is German Chocolate, and I am not really a fan...

For his birthday this year I made toffee brownies with the pecan icing - THAT I could eat! :)

If I were making a 5 year old cake, I'd do cupcakes, because they are fun, and I'd make a few different color frostings and have different toppings and have kids decorate their own!

You could do this outside :)
