Friday Favorites & a Winner!

Today is the big day, the day I crown the winner of my very first giveaway. So without further ado, thanks to, that winner is:

Winning comment #67 belongs too:
Congratulations to Ann at Slow and Steady Wins the Race! (Ann, send me an email ( with your info and I'll get your prize in the mail.) Sorry to all the runners-up (see, no losers here), you didn't win this time but maybe next time. Thanks for entering though, and for all the good info. Giveaways are fun, I hope to do more!

Since this is a Friday Favorites post, I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite places to run... around and through the University of Oregon campus. It is especially nice early in the morning when all the students are still asleep.
(The pictures aren't the best quality as it was raining pretty hard and I took them with my phone... but you get the idea.)

Tomorrow I'll be running a 10k in the Rock Your Socks virtual race put on by TMB at Racing with Babes. I don't have any real expectations, mostly I'm looking forward to figuring out my face outfit tonight. Based on what I know about TMB (one of the most stylish runners I "know"), it most definitely must involve knee high socks, a running skirt and be very coordinated... I'll do my best!

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Good luck with the 10k! I'm still deliberating on my getup as well.

It is easy to see why this is one of your favorite places to run. The U of O is really a beautiful campus. Good luck tomorrow and have fun.

I prefer to run on the U of O campus when all the students are changing classes and I can annoy as many people as possible with my stroller. Sometimes I just bump them off the sidewalk and pretend I didn't see them. It's okay though because Rocky always gives them a cheerful "Hi!" as they bite the dust.
