We had a wonderful day at the beach yesterday. It was fairly warm with not much wind...couldn't have asked for a better day in March to go to the beach. Then we got home and decorated Easter Eggs, which was a great time too. Surprisingly it wasn't too messy...nothing even spilled on the floor. It turns out the egg dyes I purchased only came with three colors (is that why they were only $.89?) so Calvin had blue, Emme had pink and Dan used the yellow. When they were all done, I went through and redyed some so that we had orange, green & purple too. It was really a great time.
Today was a great Easter. The kids actually stayed in their beds until after 7am and then we got up and looked for eggs and baskets hidden by the Easter bunny. Emme and Calvin looked very sharp in their Easter attire as did Dan, sporting his newer "law school" suit (although he was camera shy, so you won't get to see him in it). Calvin and I took naps after church and Dan tried, although Emme kept him awake ("I'm just not sleepy Daddy"). We had ham, salad, deviled eggs, biscuits, and cooked apples for dinner...it was fairly tasty.
We are looking forward to having Dan home this week (it's spring break)....at least he won't have the "Sunday Night Blues" tonight!
