Gingerbread House & the Doctor
So, yesterday we finally finished our Gingerbread House. I didn't realize that it would be such a long process...but you have to put up the walls and let them dry for at least an hour, then put on the roof and let it dry for 3 or more hours...then came the decorating. The decorating itself probably wouldn't have taken so long, except there were 3 of us doing it, I was icing the house, Emme was putting on the candies and Calvin was "rearranging" the candies (mostly to in his belly). We had fun though, and overall were quite pleased with the results.
Today Emme went to the doctor for her 4 year old check up. She did really well on the eye exam but absolutely flunked the hearing test, so we've been referred to the audiologist. She however, does have pretty bad ear infections in both ears which she surprisingly hasn't complained about at all, so that might be contributing to hear hearing problems. She was really brave though and looked absolutely adorable in her hospital gown (sorry the picture is sideways). She did get a flu shot, which she didn't particularly enjoy, but only cried about for a few moments and on the plus side, when we bring Calvin in to get his she will "help him not to be scared".
We went running again yesterday. It really wasn't very pleasant because it was super windy but we survived. Much to the kids dismay we only went 2 miles again, but we (I am) are easing back into running very slowly for the next two weeks and then we'll look into running every day...maybe.
