It's Monday...

So, it's Monday and I haven't blogged anything since last Wednesday. I'm starting to get pretty lazy at this. Emme's "ballet recital" went really well. She danced around like a pro and only fell down once...but she recovered nicely and acted like nothing happened. We were able to record it all (thank you Stephanie) and if we can figure out something that the DVD will play on besides the camera we will be able to watch it for years to come! It was very nice though and she got a long-stemmed red rose from her teacher at the end ("just like Sleeping Beauty"). Calvin for the most part even watched patiently and when it was all over was more than happy to show all the girls how to really chassé.

Friday afternoon we got the kids' pictures taken at Sears. All in all it went pretty well. The lady that was taking the pictures liked to use baby talk and refer to Emme & Calvin as "sissy" and "brother" which they (and Dan and I) didn't respond to very well. Calvin lost interest very quickly, so when all was said and done we really didn't have too many good ones to choose from, but there were a couple that we were fairly pleased with.

I'm dressed and ready for running, but now that I'm sitting here and looking outside at the cold, rainy day, I'm having a hard time getting us outside. It's now or never though, so we'd better get going....
